General Sales Manager

We’re looking for a dynamic and performance driven Sales Manager for our KIA store, Atlantic Kia, located in beautiful Amherst, NS. If you’re an ambitious person with strong leadership and motivational/coaching skills with a proven track record in sales management (preferably in the auto business) then we have an incredible opportunity for you!

Responsibilities Include:

  • Establish department objectives and pursue through planning, organizing, controlling and measuring performance.
  • Responsible for the effective operation of the New and Used Vehicle Departments as well as providing support and assistance in overseeing the Service and Parts Dept.
  • Advertise and promote new and used vehicle inventory through Atlantic KIA’s website, through social media and through other 3rd party vendors.
  • Hire, educate, motivate, guide and evaluate the performance of new and used vehicle sales staff.
  • Communicate and make sure sales staff adheres to dealership policies and procedures.
  • Assist sales people in desking and closing deals.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Direct and schedule activities of the of department staff, and conduct daily and weekly sales training sessions.
  • Ensure objectives are achieved each month.
  • Set goals and objectives for the Financial Services Manager and ensure proper TO is happening with each customer.
  • Follow all company and manufacturer policies, directives and procedures
  • Ensure staff compliance with required health and safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • A competitive base salary (depending on experience) plus performance incentives.

This is a performance based position focused on Gross Profit Achievement, Expected Sales Volume, Expense Control, Customer Satisfaction and the Effectiveness of each Sales Team Member. A college of university degree is an asset along with five years of experience in auto sales management. A solid sales and administrative background is also required as well as a strong knowledge of marketing and finance. Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create a positive and successful team environment.
